The Story
What’s the story? There isn’t one! It’s just like being at the Eurovision finals—chaotic, loud, and hilarious.
Countries do whatever it takes to win, with a gushing host and at least one contestant who’s clearly had too much Schnapps (for realism, of course). Expect tribal crowds, wild laughs, and zero time for having a nap.
ACT 1:
•You get a badge, flag, and clacker. Don’t know how to wave a flag? Don’t worry, we’ll show you, and yes, there’s a Mexican Wave.
•The show’s set in Minsk, Belarus, hosted by local legend Bettina Pikmannoz, a pole-vaulter-turned-cabaret-singer trying to prove Belarus can throw a world-class party—budget issues and Kremlin interference aside.
•11 countries compete, including Hungary, United Kingdom, Italy, Ireland etc. PLUS we’re sharing the love further afield to Latin America, Asia, India and Australia.
•Expect weird, wonderful performances and votes. Spoiler: You can’t vote for your own country.
Interval: Time for a drink, snack, and debate about who’s going to win.
ACT 2:
•The mega halftime show, “Come Alive in Belarus,” opens with a bang!
•Bettina gets the votes “live” from each country—cue nail-biting and laughs.
•The winner’s crowned, glitter falls, as do the tears, winner perform one last time before everyone goes home buzzing and ready to overshare on social media. We can’t wait to see the whole of Adelaide there!
“Irresistibly silly lampoon if a universe beyond parody …funny, clever… priceless”
